Dry Fish Curry

Dry fish curry is cooked with tamarind paste, crushed shallots, garlic, kuzhambu powder and other ingredients

  • Heat oil in a pan and add fenugreek seeds, shallots, black pepper and garlic. Fry for 2 minutes and drain from the oil. Grind well the fried ingredients and keep aside.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder and coriander powder in the same oil and saute in low flame till the oil separates.
  • Now add the ground paste. Mix well and add the tamarind paste and one cup of water. Bring to boil and add the dry fish.
  • Cook covered in low flame till the gravy thickens. Garnish with curry leaves.
  • Dry fish curry, a wonderful hot and spicy side dish recipe with rice is ready.
