Ingredients

also known as belt fish
It is bilaterally compressed long
ribbon
like fish with silvery sheen
1

Onion
chopped
Ginger
garlic
paste - 2 tbsp
2
tbsp
Red chilly powder
1
tbsp
Mustard seeds
1
tbsp
Coriander powder
1
tsp
Turmeric powder
Salt
As reqd

Tomato
chopped
Instructions
Cut each fish into 5 - 6 pieces and wash well.
Heat
oil
in a pan.
Add fish pieces and fry until light brown.
Add onions, red
chilli powder
,
ginger
-
garlic
paste,
mustard seeds
,
turmeric powder
and
coriander powder
.
Add
salt
and mix well.
After a short while, add chopped tomatoes.
Mix well and fry until the
oil
gets separated.
Add little
water
and cook until it is done.
