Dry Fish Thokku

This is a simple recipe which you can make with dry fish. The tangy and spicy masala goes really well with the dry fish and taste amazing. Karuvadu Thokku / dry fish thokku is a popular curry recipe of Tamil Nadu. It tastes very mouth wateringly delicious. It is prepared in various methods and here is a simple way.

Ingredients
  

  • dry fish 100 gms
  • baby onions 100 gms
  • tomatoes 100 gms
  • green chili 2
  • curry leaf few
  • turmeric 1/4 sp
  • salt to taste
  • red chili powder 2 sp

Instructions
 

  • soak the dry fish for 1 hour
  • in oil saute onions
  • add green chili and curry leafs
  • now add tomatoes, turmeric, and salt.
  • spice it with chili powder
  • add dry fish and enough water for it to cook soft.
  • twist and turn till it becomes thick gravy consistency and serve.
