  • Chicken(cut into chunks) - 1/2 kg
  • Basmati rice - 3 cups
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions
  1. Blend together all the ingredients for making the paste.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pressure cooker.
  3. Fry the blended paste for 4 mins.
  4. Add chicken along with a cup of water and salt.
  5. Pressure cook for 6 mins with the weight on.
  6. Remove from the flame and allow it to cool.
  7. After opening the lid, add the cleaned rice.
  8. Check the level of salt and top with water(an inch above the rice level).
  9. Put it back on fire and pressure cook for another 6 mins.
  10. Remove from the flame and open the lid after 10 mins.
  11. :- If you really have time and patience, you can fry few fine slices of onion, cashews, raisins and garnish.
