Instructions
  1. Grind coconut, red chillies, garlic, jeera and small onion.
  2. Put some oil in the pressure cooker(because the rice won`t stick at the bottom).
  3. Pour the diluted tamarind, toor dal, ground coconut, salt, turmeric powder and asfoetida.
  4. Allow the water to boil for 5 mins.
  5. Put the rice and close the lid.
  6. Pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
  7. Heat oil in the pan.
  8. Splutter mustard and urad dal.
  9. Add onion and curry leaves and saute till onion turns brown.
  10. :- If you need more spicy, you can add red chillies & green chillies.
  11. Pour the seasoning of mustard and onion in the pressure cooker and stir.
  12. :- Serve hot with papad and raitha.
