For preparing easy koonthal stir fry, take a pressure cooker and put the drained koonthal, onion, crushed garlic, chopped tomato, chilly powder, turmeric powder, required salt and mix well. Do not add water.
Pressure cook unto 4 whistles. Remove from fire and keep the cooked koonthal with gravy aside.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry curry leaves. Stir in cooked koonthal pieces with gravy. Fry until gravy has evaporated completely and the koonthal pieces are browned.
