  • Milk - 1 1/2 litre
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Condensed milk - 1 can
  • Cardamom powder(A pinch, Elakka) -
  • Raisins(Unakka munthiri) - 10 nos
  • Cashews - 10 nos
  • Unsalted butter - 1 tsp

Instructions
  1. Wash the rice well.
  2. Boil milk and add rice. Cook well until rice is done. Do not add water.
  3. Add sugar and cardamom powder.
  4. Add condensed milk and let it boil for 2 minutes.
  5. Heat butter in a tawa and fry raisins and cashews to a golden brown color.
  6. Add this to the payasam, put it in the refrigerator and serve cool.
