  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
  • Vinegar - 4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 2 level
  • Red colour(As reqd) -
  • Salt(As reqd) -
  • Ajinomotto(A pinch) -
  • Onions(finely chopped, large) - 5 nos
  • Green chillies(cut into round) - 7 nos
  • Curry leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Coriander leaves (for garnishing) -
  • Oil - 1/4 cup

Instructions
  1. Cut chicken into small pieces.
  2. Drain off the water completely.
  3. Mix the chicken pieces with tomato sauce, vinegar, turmeric powder, red colour, salt and ajinomotto.
  4. Cook the chicken pieces, without adding water.
  5. When the chicken pieces are completely covered with the masala, remove from fire.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.
  7. Add onions, green chillies and curry leaves and fry, till they become brown.
  8. Add the chicken pieces and mix well and simmer for a further 10 mins.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. :- Serve with parathas or appam.

This is the first dish i am trying from this site…i made a little change as i mixed 1 tablespoon butter before adding chicken to fried onions.I served this dish with chapathi.Wow!its simply delicious!Got good appreciation from my husband..

This recipe turned out to be very good. Except, i think it is ok, to add little vinegar quantity than what`s mentioned. Coz it gives out a strong smell. BUut otherwise quiety tasty. Thnx

really very very yummy and easy recipe.
My Husband couldn`t make out that it is cooked at home by me.
i ADDED TANDOORI MASALA INSTEAD OF RED COLOUR
