Instructions
  1. Add dal in rice cooker and if frozen vegetables, add it along with turmeric, salt and cook upto 1 whistle.
  2. Cool it and open it.
  3. Add the sambar powder.
  4. :- If u slightly heat all powders together the colour of sambar can be made little brown.
  5. Add fenugreek powder or whole.
  6. Add asafoetida powder.
  7. Splutter mustard seeds in a little oil.
  8. Saute some onion or shallots.
  9. Add tomato and dry red chillies.
  10. Add it to the curry along with coriander leaves.
  11. :- Serve with dosa and rice.

hi..i know i`m the first one to comment ur recipe…and this is my first comment for pachakam also.Actualy i dont like sambar. but yesterday i make sambar with ur recipe. it came out very well. and now i like Dosha-sambar combination. my hubby also like that..i added tamarind paste also..it tastes good.

Wow thanks for the recipe. I never make sambar because its so complicated and i never get it right. This was so easy and delicious. I added some green chilies and forgot to put the coriander but it was still very very good. Had it with idlis.
