Red gram
Thuvaraparippu

Yellow pumpkin
Mathanaga

Turmeric powder
Chilly powder
As reqd

Coconut
Cumin seeds
A little, Jeerakam
1/2
tsp
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
A few

red chillies
Coconut oil
As reqd
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
Pressure cook red gram and
yellow pumpkin
together with
turmeric powder
and chilly powder.
Blend
coconut
and jeera and add this to the pressure cooked
yellow pumpkin
and parippu and mix well.
Cook on low flame for a while.
Add
salt
as required.
Next, season with
mustard seeds
,
curry leaves
and
red chillies
.
Pour some
coconut oil
on top and cover it with a lid so as not to lose the flavour.
