Erissery With Pumpkin Pumpkin(Mathanga) & Payar erissery 2 cups Pumpkin(Mathanga) (cut into pieces, ripe)1/2 cup Red oriental beans2 tbsp Oil1 tbsp Coconut milk2 nos Dry red chillies (Kollamulaku)1 tsp Mustard seeds2 sprigs Curry leavesSalt (As reqd)For grinding:-1 cup Grated coconut1 - Small onions (Kunjulli)2 nos Garlic pods1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1/2 tsp Turmeric powder2 - Green chillies Cook pumpkin along with enough water and salt. Cook red oriental beans separately and mix it along with the pumpkin. Grind the ingredients to be ground into a coarse form.Add the ground mixture into the cooked mixture.Cook for sometime and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds followed by red chillies and curry leaves.Add thick coconut milk and mix well. Pour the above into the cooked pumpkin curry and mix well. Kerala

i tried this recipe with out coconut milk.. its tasty..
