Brinjal
cut into pieces, Vazhuthananga
3/4
cup
Coconut
grated
Tamarind
A small ball, Puli
Curry leaves
Few
Oil
As reqd
Salt
As reqd
To be ground for preparing masala:
2
tsp
Chilly powder
Turmeric powder
A pinch
1/2
cup
Shallots
Kunjulli
3/4
tsp
Pepper
Ginger
A small piece
Instructions
Grind the grated
coconut
to a fine paste and keep aside.
Grind the ingredients of the masala together to a fine paste.
Add some
water
to the
tamarind
and extract the paste.
Take a pan and pour
oil
. Splutter the
curry leaves
and saute the ground masala paste till
oil
accumulates on top.
Pour the
tamarind
pulp, one cup of
water
and required
salt
. Heat the vessel.
When boiling starts, add fish and
brinjal
pieces.
When the fish is done, add
coconut
paste and simmer for a few minutes in low flame. Remove from fire before boiling starts.
Fish with
brinjal
curry is ready. Serve hot.
