Instructions
  1. For preparing the tasty awesome dish, first roast rava till light golden shade and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and urad dal. Then add sliced onion, chopped carrot, ginger and green chilly.
  3. Saute till onion become translucent.
  4. Then add hot water and required salt. Allow to boil well. Add the specific quantity of hot water quoted. Otherwise upma will not come out perfect.
  5. When it starts boiling, lower the flame and add roasted sooji.
  6. Mix well, close the pan and cook for 2 minutes in low flame. Then turn off the flame and keep aside. Do not open the pan and allow to cook for 5 more minutes.
  7. The delicious dish is ready now. You can make the dish more nutritious by adding veggies as per choice. This will increase the nutrition factor of the dish.
