Instructions
  1. Cut the bitter gourd into thin round slices.
  2. Apply salt & turmeric powder and keep aside for 15 - 20 minutes.
  3. Squeeze the bitter gourd to extract the bitter juices.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add the bitter gourd.
  5. Fry well, stirring occasionally, until the bitter gourd crisp.
  6. Grind the grated dry coconut, cloves, cumin powder and red chilli powder to a fine powder.
  7. Add this powder to the fried bitter gourd.
  8. Stir & cook for 2 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with chappathis or as a side dish with dal & rice.
