Fish pieces cooked in
ginger
-
garlic
pastes,
tomato
puree,
cumin powder
and other ingredients

Mustard seeds

Shallots
chopped

Ginger
Garlic
paste

Onion
chopped

Tomato
pureed
1
tsp
Chilly Powder
1
tsp
Cumin Powder
Jeerakam
1
tbsp
Vinegar
1/2
tbsp
Lemon juice
1
tsp
Pepper powder
1
tbsp
Oil
Salt
As reqd
Water
As reqd
Instructions
First clean the fish and drain well.
Marinate the fish with lemon and
salt
and fry lightly.
Heat
oil
in a frying pan and fry onions to a golden brown color.
Add
ginger
-
garlic
paste and sautT for a minute.
Stir in chilly powder,
cumin powder
,
pepper powder
,
tomato
puree, required
salt
and fry for a few seconds.
Add lightly fried fish pieces and vinegar. Mix well.
Pour little
water
and cook till you get a slightly thick gravy.
In a pan, Heat little
oil
and deep fry shallots. Finally pour it on the gravy.
Place the Goan fish vindaloo in a serving bowl and serve hot with plain rice.
