Instructions
  1. First wash and soak rice overnight.
  2. Grind rice with toddy(as required) to a fine batter.
  3. Grind grated coconut and add to rice batter. Add 2 tbsp of sugar and some salt.
  4. Cover and keep in a warm place for about 3 hours until the batter becomes double the quantity.
  5. Pour the batter into saucers or idli moulds and steam for 20 minutes.
  6. A typical Goan sannas, soft and fluffy in nature, is ready.
