Gobi Manchurian

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Cauliflower
  • 2 cups Allpurpose flour Maida
  • 1/2 cup Corn Flour
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1" piece Ginger finely chopped
  • 3 nos Garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 5 nos Green chillies slit or chopped
  • 1 Onion cut into big cubes, big
  • 1 cup Capsicum cut same size as onion, green/red/yellow
  • Ajinomoto A pinch, Sodium Glutamate
  • Spring onion chopped
  • 1 cup Coriander leaves chopped
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1/4 cup Soya sauce
  • 5 tbsp Chilli sauce – 4
  • Ketchup optional

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Gobi Manchurian, mix together maida, corn flour, salt, a few drops of soya sauce and water to form a batter.
  • :- If you want the dish to be colorful, you can add a pinch of red color in the batter. The batter should not be too thick.
  • Dip the cauliflower pieces in the batter and deep fry, till golden brown.
  • Heat 5 tbsp of oil in the same pan used for frying the cauliflower.
  • Add ginger, green chillies, garlic, ajinomoto, capsicum, spring onion and onion and stir.
  • :- See to it that the onion and capsicum are not too soft, so that they are crunchy, while eating.
  • Add the sauces and stir for a minute.
  • Add the fried cauliflower pieces.
  • Mix well without breaking the pieces.
  • Add more of the sauces to Gobi Manchurian, if required.
  • Garnish Gobi Manchurian with coriander leaves.
  • :- Soya sauce is salty so see that you don't add too much salt in the batter.
  • :- Gobi Manchurian is ready.
  • :- Serve Gobi Manchurian hot with chapathis.

    it was very good. i usually do not like manchurian dishes, but my husband does. and i am glad he liked it and i also enjoyed it. To make a little more gravy, i added 1tsp of cornflour to one glass of water to the sauces before adding the fried cauliflower pcs and let it cook for 2 mts and then added the cauliflower and cooked it again for 2 mts more.
