Gongura Chicken
Tasty and variety chicken curry
Ingredients
- 250 gm Chicken
- 1 big Gongura leaves
- 1 no Onion big
- 2 - Green chillies
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Oil As reqd
- Salt As reqd
Instructions
- Marinate chicken pieces with enough salt and turmeric powder for 1/2 hr.
- Cook gongura leaves and green chillies in the water till the leaves turn into pale colour.
- Grind this into a paste.
- Saute the onions in the oil.
- Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder to it and saute it for a while.
- Add chicken pieces and coriander leaves and cook till chicken is done.
- Add gongura paste to it and cook for another few minutes.
- Add coriander leaves for garnishing.
- :- Can have this with rice or chappathi.
