Gosht-e-Akbari
Rich and spicy mutton curry

Mutton meat

Milk

Onion
1
tbsp
Ginger
& garlic paste
½
tbsp
Coriander powder
2
tsp
Chilli powder
½
tbsp
Cumin powder
1
tsp
Garam masala
Saffron
a few strands
1
tbsp
Flour
1
tbsp
Ghee
Salt
to taste
For seasoning:-
100
gm
Green peas
1
tbs
Oil
4
nos
Cardamoms
4
nos
Cloves
1
inch
Cinnamon
8
nos
Black pepper corn
1
no
Bay leaf
2
nos
Red chilli
Instructions
Cook the mutton with all the ingredients except the
saffron
, flour and
ghee
.
Saute the flour with
ghee
in a pan for sometime.
Then gradually add some
water
to form a batter and add that to the gosht and keep stirring for 5 minutes.
Add
saffron
and cook for another 5 minutes.
In another pan, heat
oil
, add the onions,
garam masala
and bay leaf and fry well.
Add the
green peas
and the
red chillies
and stir for 2 minutes.
Then add the gosht and mix well and remove from fire.
Garnish with
onion
rings, coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
