  • Small onions(Kunjulli) - 6 nos
  • Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu) - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger(A small piece) -
  • Garlic pods - 2 nos
  • Red chilly(Kollamulaku)(whole) - 4 nos
  • Curry leaves(A few) -
  • Amchur powder - 1 tbsp
  • Channa dalia(Pottukadala) - 1 tbsp
  • Salt(As reqd) -
  • Coriander leaves(A small bunch) -

Instructions
  1. Fry black gram without oil, till brown. Keep it aside.
  2. Fry red chillies, small onions, curry leaves, garlic and ginger, till they turn light brown.
  3. Add capsicum and fry for 2 mins.
  4. Grind together all the fried items along with amchur powder, salt, dalia and coriander leaves.
  5. :- Serve with dosas or idlis.
  6. :- Instead of amchur powder, you can use tamarind.
