Green Chilli Bajji is a famous South Indian street side food made by frying battered green chillies. Usually, this Pacha Mulagu Bajji is served as a tea time snack along with Masala tea or hot coffee. In North Karnataka region, these are served with Puffed rice upma, whereas in Tamil Nadu, Andhra it is served with chutney. To make this bajji, green chillies are filled with onion spice mixture is dipped in batter and deep fried in oil. While making mirchi bajji, always use the larger variety of green chillies which are not at all spicy. These chillies are also called as bhajji mirchi or bajji mirchi. Also do remember to remove the seeds and pith. If the seeds and pith are not removed then the chillies can taste spicy and pungent. Most of the office pantries, road side shops, tea stalls, and almost all restaurants serve this crispy and spicy Milagai Bajji. This Pacha ulaku Bajji is a perfect tea time chaat / snack.
