Green Gram Stir Fry | Moong Dal Fry | Cherupayar Mezhukkupuratty

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Green gram(Cherupayar) Soaked overnight
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt as required
  • 1 no. Onion Chopped
  • 2 nos. Green chilly Chopped
  • 1 no. Tomato Chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Cook green gram by adding turmeric powder and salt as required in enough water.
  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and add sliced onion. Saute till it becomes soft and light brown in colour.
  • Add chopped tomato, green chilly and saute for few minutes.
  • Add cooked green gram.
  • Mix well, adjust the salt and remove it from the flame.
  • Serve it along with puttu or chappathi.
