Ingredients
  • All purpose flour – 6 oz (approximately(Maida) - 1 1/4cup)
  • Butter(softened) - 6 oz
  • Sugar - 6 oz
  • Eggs - 3 nos
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Milk - 2 tbsp
For Icing:
  • Icing(ready to roll icing) - 700 gms
  • Sugar flowers(To decorate) -
  • Red food coloring - 2 drops
  • Jam(As reqd, warmed) -

Instructions
  1. Pre heat oven to 180C. Grease two heart shaped pans.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl.
  3. Add sugar, butter and eggs and beat till the mixture is smooth.
  4. Stir in the milk and mix.
  5. Divide the mixture between the two pans and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 20 -25 minutes till well risen and golden brown.
  7. Leave to cool in pans. Cool well on a wire rack.
  8. For icing: 1)Beat sugar, icing sugar and vanilla together till smooth.
  9. Spread on top of one cake and place the other cake on top.
  10. Brush jam over the top of cake.
  11. Knead the icing with the color and roll out and spread over the cake.
  12. Trim the edges and roll the trimmings into petals. Place it on top.
  13. Decorate with sugar flowers.
