Hunan Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Boneless chicken Cut into small pieces
  • Egg white of one egg.
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder Optional
  • For Sauce.
  • 2 nos Onion Sliced into cubes
  • 1 inch Ginger Sliced length wise
  • 3 pods Garlic Sliced length wise
  • 4 nos Green chilly
  • 1 Capsicum remove the seeds and sliced into cubes
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • Sugar tsp.
  • Oil for frying.
  • Salt to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together egg white, cornflour, pepper powder along with salt until smooth. Add chicken pieces to this, mix it well and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a fry pan and fry the chicken pieces till both sides turn golden brown colour.
  • Heat 2tbsp of oil in a pan and add onions, ginger, garlic, green chilly, capsicum and sauté it.
  • Add soy sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar sugar, salt (if needed) and mix it well. Then add fried chicken pieces to this sauce and mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Finally dissolve 1 tsp of cornflour in little water and pour this to the chicken and stir well.
  • Enjoy the hunan Chicken with fried rice, roti, naan.
