Idiyappam Upma
Idiyappam Upma is prepared with leftover idiyappam. This idiyappam is prepared by rice flour with salt and water and pressed with idiyappam presser and steamed . This upma is prepared with that leftover and saute onion and green chili and coconut . This Idiyappam Upma can served with coconut chutney and vegetarian and non vegetarain gravy. This idiyappam upma is also famous in many hotels which they do some more flavor like mint idiyappam, lemon idiyappam likewise we can more variety. Instructions
  1. Roughly cut the idiyappam into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Splutter mustard and saute broken dry red chillies n curry leaves.
  4. Add onion, ginger and green chillies and saute till they turn soft n translucent.
  5. Add a bit of salt and mix well. Be careful as salt has already been added while making idiyappams.
  6. Lower the flame and add the chopped idiyappam pieces. Mix well.
  7. Add the coconut and mix well again.
  8. :- Serve with pickle or any spicy curry.
