Black gram
Uzhunnuparippu

Oil

For making Onion Raitha:
½
kg
Curd

Salt

Onion
finely chopped

Green chilly
finely chopped

Ginger
finely chopped
Coriander leaves
finely chopped

Oil

Mustard Seeds
Small
Instructions
For making rice: 1)Half boil rice.
Soak
tamarind
in
water
for 30 minutes. Mash it and strain it through a strainer.
Heat
oil
in a pan or a kadai.
Add
Bengal gram
and
black gram
.
Add rice followed by
salt
and
tamarind
water
.
Mix well and cover it with a lid and simmer it for 5-7 minutes.
:-Serve hot with
Onion
Raitha.
For making
onion
raitha: 1)Beat curd. Add
onion
,
salt
,
green chillies
,
ginger
and coriander leaves.
Heat
oil
in a pan and crackle
mustard seeds
.
Add it to the raitha and mix well.
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.
