An easy side dish with Kabuli chana

Oil
Water

Chilli powder
Salt

Turmeric powder

tsp
Garam masala
powder

tsp
Coriander powder

Onion

Tomato

Ginger

Green chillies
slit lengthwise
Curry leaves
A few
Coriander leaves
As reqd
Instructions
Soak chana overnight in
water
.
Wash the chana and boil it in cooker with 3 glasses of
water
,
salt
and
turmeric powder
.
After the first whistle, lower down the flame and cook for another 5 minutes.
Turn off the flame and wait until the steam comes out.
Heat
oil
in a pan. Add chopped
onion
,
green chillies
, chopped
ginger
and
curry leaves
and saute till it turns to light golden colour.
Add
coriander powder
,
chilli powder
,
turmeric powder
,
salt
,
garam masala
powder and
tomato
.
Saute for 2 minutes.
Add boiled chana and mix well.
Transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
Garnish with coriander leaves and chopped
onion
.
