  • Boiled and mashed potatoes : 1/2 cup -
  • Kaddu (red pumpkin), peeled and cut into small pieces : 250 gm -
  • Chilli powder : 1 tsp -
  • Coriander powder : 1 tsp -
  • Amchoor : 1/2 tsp -
  • Powdered sugar : 1/4 tsp -
  • Green chilli : 1 no -
  • Salt : according to taste -
  • Oil : 2 tsp -

Instructions
  1. Heat little amount of oil in a non - stick pan and add small red pumpkin pieces to it.
  2. Cover it with a lid and let it cook till it becomes soft enough to be mashed.
  3. Add salt, chilli powder, sugar, amchoor and coriander powder to the cooked red pumpkin and mix well.
  4. Put mashed potatoes in the pan and mix it properly so that red pumpkin and potatoes blend nicely.
  5. Add some more salt accordingly to the quantity of added potatoes. Mix again.
  6. Take the pan, off the gas and let it cool down for sometime
  7. Divide the mixture into several portions and shape them into a flat and round tikki.
  8. To cook it in a healthy way, these tikkis will be shallow fried. For this, add little oil in the non - stick pan and heat it.
  9. Cook the tikkis on low flame till it becomes light brown in color. Similarly cook the other side as well.
  10. Serve hot with green chutney or tamarind chutney.
