Kaipola is a malabar special snack,which is very easy to make and healthy too. kaipola is also called as banana cake otherwise steamed plantain cake. In muslim community this very famous and mainly is served during in Ramadan. Kaipola / steamed plantain cake is mainly do with banana and egg and sugar. kids love this snack at any time we serve. Kaipola / steamed plantain cake is mainl koy served in breakfast time and also in evening snack time. this snack is very healthy and rich in nutrient and taste. this rich in aroma and flavor .

Ingredients
  

  • ethapazham 2
  • egg 3
  • cardamom powder a pinch
  • sugar 1 tablespoon
  • cashew nuts 8
  • dried grapes 8
  • ghee 1 table spoon

Instructions
 

  • take two bananas
  • cut it to small pieces
  • heat a pan (I used veleppa chatty) pour little ghee
  • when it melts
  • add the sliced bananas
  • when it slightly brown, turn off the flame
  • roast the nuts and grapes
  • take a bowl and add the egg
  • add cardamom powder
  • add sugar
  • mix it well
  • add the roasted banana and nuts to it ,mix it well.
  • heat the appa chatty and add little ghee
  • add the egg mix to it and close the pan for 10 to 15 minutes in low flame
  • after 15 minutes, turn off the flame
  • then heat a frying pan
  • and add the kai pola to it (to make both side cooked)
  • transfer to the serving dish
  • its a snack that everyone love.
  • slice it to pieces
