Kakka Erachi Ularthiyathu
Oysters found abundantly on sea shores is cooked and served as a lunch time dish.

Oyster
Kakka
Ginger
a small piece
7
flakes
Garlic

nos
Green chillies
1

Onion
chopped
1/2
of
Coconut
grated
1
tbsp
Fresh lime juice
1/2
tsp
Turmeric powder
1
tsp
Mustard seeds
2
sprigs
Curry leaves
Coconut oil
As reqd
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
Clean and wash the oysters and drain well.
Cook the oysters in half cup of
water
,
turmeric powder
,
curry leaves
and required
salt
. Remove from the burner when the oysters are done and
water
is almost evaporated.
Grind together
ginger
,
garlic
,
green chillies
and grated
coconut
to a fine paste.
Heat
coconut oil
in a pan and splutter
mustard seeds
. Add chopped
onion
and saute well.
Add
coconut
paste and saute for a few minutes. Add cooked oysters and stir gently.
Add lime juice and leave kakka erachi ularthiyathu in low fire for a few minutes until dry.
Yummy kakka ularthiyathu recipe is ready and serve hot.
