Small Clams
Kakka irachi

cup
Grated
coconut
1
tsp
Ginger
paste
1
tsp
Garlic
paste
1
tsp
Chilly powder
1/4
tsp
Turmeric powder
1
tsp
Coriander powder
1/2
tsp
Pepper powder
1/4
tsp
Fennel seeds
/powder
Perumjeerakam
2
nos
Green chillies
Curry leaves
A few
1/4
tsp
Mustard seeds
Salt
As reqd
Oil
As reqd
Instructions
Marinate washed and drained mussels with a mixture of
ginger
and
garlic
pastes, chilly powder,
coriander powder
,
turmeric powder
,
pepper powder
and required
salt
.
Heat
oil
in a pan.
Splutter
mustard seeds
.
Add
curry leaves
,
green chillies
and marinated mussels to it and fry in low flame for a few minutes. Place a cover and cook the mussels.
Once the mussels are done, remove the lid and add grated
coconut
. Stir for 2 more mins until everything is blended well.
:- Serve with rice and moru curry.
