Instructions
  1. For preparing kakka ularthiyathu, first mix kakka with shallots, green chillies, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, some water and required salt in a vessel.
  2. Cook in low heat until water has almost dried up.
  3. Add grated coconut, crushed pepper, chilly powder and cover the vessel with a lid. Simmer in low heat until the kakka pieces are done.
  4. Sprinke garam masala and add fresh coconut oil. Remove the vessel from fire.
  5. Kakka ularthiyathu, a favorite dish of kerala, is ready. Serve hot.
