Instructions
  1. For preparing Kalakand, first mash paneer coarsely and add milk powder to it.
  2. Stir in condensed milk and mix well.
  3. Heat the mixture in a thick-bottomed pan.
  4. Cook on medium heat with constant stirring till the mixture becomes thick which should take about 8 to 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the fire and spread onto a greased plate.
  6. Sprinkle cardamom powder.
  7. Top with silver leaf.
  8. Cool and cut into squares.
  9. Delicious Kalakand sweet is ready.

This was the most simple recipe I have ever done for an Indian sweet. My husband is from India and my Father-In-Law just brought kalakand from India for us from Pulla Reddy sweets in Hyderabad, and this recipe is really close to being that good had I not just had it from India I would never have known the difference. Thanks Asha Patel!!!
