  • Cooked rice -
For making powder:
  • Karuvepila - 1 big
  • Black gram(Uzhunupparippu) - 4 tsp
  • Bengal gram(Kadalaparippu) - 3 tsp
  • Red gram(Thuvaraparippu) - 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 2 tsp
  • Pepper corns - 3 tsp
  • Asafoetida(Kaayam) - 1 1/2 tsp

Instructions
  1. Fry all the above said ingredients in a tava and allow them to cool.
  2. Grind then to a fine powder in a mixer and keep it aside. 3)Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal.
  3. When the mustard seeds crackle, add steamed rice, salt and masala powder and toss well.
  4. :- Serve hot.
