Kaya Parippu Curry is one of the easiest and most nutritious of dishes that can be easily prepared at home. Instructions
  1. For preparing Kaya Parippu Curry, first peel and cube raw banana. Clean and wash Tur dal.
  2. Grind coconut with bird eye chilly with little water to make a fine paste.
  3. Add raw banana, dal, turmeric powder and salt in a pressure cooker.
  4. Pressure cook it with 2 cups of water for 15 minutes.
  5. Lightly mash the cooked banana and dal.
  6. Add ground coconut paste to the mashed dal-raw banana mixture and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
  7. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, toss little curry leaves and mix it with the curry.
  8. Kaya parippu curry is ready to serve.
