Keerai Sadham (Green Leaves Rice)

Green leaves are always rich in iron, folic acid and calcium. This Ponnankani keerai rice is very simple to prepare and the best for lunch for kids

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Ponnakani Keerai
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 tsp Cumin seed
  • 2 Green chili
  • 1 1/2 cup Boiled Rice
  • 1 tsp asafeotida
  • Salt as taste
  • 3 tblsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • In a blender add Tomato and cumin and green chili and grind it.
  • Add keerai to blender and grind with tomato mixture as a smooth paste
  • In a pan add Oil, add asafeotida, grinded paste and salt. cook well
  • Allow to cool the boiled rice in a plate
  • When Keera tokku comes out of oil, turn off the flame
  • Now add rice to thokku and mix well
  • keera sadam is ready
