Kerala Beef Fry Naadan Beef Fry 1 lbs Beef (cubed)2 nos Onions (large size)1 bulb Garlic2 inches Ginger4 stalks Curry leaves1 tbsp Mustard seeds2 tbsp Coriander1 tsp Turmeric1 tbsp Chili powder1 tbsp Garam masalaCilantro (as reqd)1 tbsp VinegarSalt (as reqd)Water (as reqd)2 tbsp Olive oil1 tsp Coconut oil (for flavoring) Marinate beef cubes in a little vinegar.Chop up onions, garlic, and ginger.In a huge pot, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil and add mustard seed until they pop.Add onions, garlic, ginger, and curry leaves to this and cook until nicely browned.Add coriander, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Fry for at least 5 minutes.Add beef and 2 cups of waters. Bring to a boil, cover, and turn heat to low to simmer. Stir occasionally.After approximately one hour, check tenderness of beef and add water if necessary.During this time, fry up other half of onions, garlic, and ginger with mustard seeds, curry leaves and keep aside.Once beef is as tender as desired, add fried onions and coconut oil to mixture with cilantro and cook for about 2 minutes.:- Serve hot!!!
