Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  2. Add the balck gram, Bengal gram, sliced onions, red chillies and jeera.
  3. Add salt.
  4. Continue to saute.
  5. Add more oil, if it is too dry.
  6. Once the onions are soft and brown, put in a blender.
  7. Add the coriander leaves and water.
  8. Grind it to a fine consistency.
  9. :- Onion Chutney is ready,
  10. :- Serve Onion Chutney with dosa or idli.

I am so glad I tried your recipe. Found it really simple and quick to make. Loved it! I added couple of more chillies to make it spicier and used about 1/4th teaspoon of concentrated tamarind pulp while grinding the mixture – just to make it a little tangy. Good with idli. Thank you for the great idea.
