  • Chicken - 1 no
  • Onions(large) - 4 nos
  • Red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 8 nos
  • Cloves(Grambu) - 4 nos
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 2" piece
  • Ripe Tomatoes - ½ kg
  • Ghee - 8 tsp
  • Vinegar - 2 tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) -

  • Onions(large) - 4 nos
  • Red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 8 nos
  • Cloves(Grambu) - 4 nos
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 2" piece
  • Ripe Tomatoes - ½ kg
  • Ghee - 8 tsp
  • Vinegar - 2 tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
  1. Clean and cut the chicken into fairly big pieces.
  2. Chop two onions and all the tomatoes and cook in two cups of water.
  3. Mash and rub through a sieve.
  4. Slice the other two onions thin.
  5. Grind together cloves, red chillies and cinnamon, using a little of the vinegar.
  6. Fry sliced onions in ghee till brown.
  7. Remove and keep aside.
  8. SautT the ground ingredients in the remaining ghee.
  9. Add chicken and fried onions.
  10. SautT for a while longer, then add salt and the remaining vinegar.
  11. Cover and cook on low fire till chicken is just done.
  12. Add the tomato-onion mixture and cook on slow fire till chicken is tender and the gravy is thick.
  13. :- Serve hot with rice or parathas.
