  • For preparing the tasty dish, first cut the yam into very small pieces and wash well.
  • Pour coconut milk, salt and cook till the entire milk is absorbed and yam pieces are cooked well.
  • If yam is not properly cooked, add little water and cook again. Do not overcook the yam.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped shallots and saute until light brown in colour. Yam should be crispy and should not stick to one another.
  • Then add curry leaves and saute for few seconds.
  • Add all powders and saute for 2-3 minutes in low flame. Make sure that powders do not get burnt.
  • Add cooked yam and combine well. Cook for another 2 minutes and remove it from the flame.
  • The tasty nutritious dish is ready now. Serve dish hot with rice for noon day meals. Enjoy the vegetarian dish with your family. Boost up nutrition.
