Instructions
  1. Soak kadala overnight and pressure cook with salt, till done.
  2. Mix together the coriander and chilly powder with little water to a paste and keep aside for 7 - 10 mins.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Splutter mustard seeds.
  5. Add red chillies, shallots and curry leaves and saute for 2 mins.
  6. Add onion and saute till light brown.
  7. Add the crushed garlic, crushed clove-perinjeerakam and chilly-coriander paste and saute for 3 - 4 mins.
  8. Add 2 tsp of water and wait for oil to separate.
  9. Add the cooked kadala along with water.
  10. Cook on low flame for 10 mins.
  11. :- Serve hot with puttu.
