Khoa Gulab Jamun

Gulab jamun is a soft and spongy sweet which is drenched in sugar syrup is a most popular traditional sweet made in festive seasons. This is the first and foremost method of preparing jamuns with unsweetened khoa. The khoa has to be rubbed and mixed with maida to make soft balls. These balls are fried in oil and soaked in sugar syrup. It is served with nuts on top of it .

Ingredients
  

  • maida 3/4 cup
  • unsweetened khoa 150 gms
  • baking soda a pinch
  • black salt a pinch

Instructions
 

  • get unsweetened khoa mash it finely and add bakling soda and black salt to it.
  • add maida to it.
  • mix thoroughly and make a soft dough with help of little water.
  • make small balls out of the dough and deep fry in oil in a medium flame
  • when it turns golden brown take from oil and put it in thin sugar syrup.
  • serve it when done with observing the sugar syrup.
