Khus Khus Pulav Rice and vegetables cooked with khus khus 1 cup Basmati Rice1 cup Onion (cut lengthwise)1/2 cup Peas3/4 cup Beans (chopped)1/2 cup Carrot (cut lengthwise)2 tsp Ghee4 tbsp OilCoriander leaves For masala paste: 1/2 Onions1 tsp Poppy seeds (Khashakhasha)3 nos Green chillies2 nos Cloves (Grambu)1" piece Cinnamon (Karugapatta)Ginger (A small piece)2 nos Garlic pods2 nos Cardamom (Elakka) Wash and soak rice for 10 minutes. Drain water.Fry the rice in a pan by adding 1 tsp of ghee for 5 minutes on a medium flame. Grind together all the ingredients and prepare masala paste. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.Add onions and fry them well.Mix ground masala paste and wait for the oil to separate. Add all vegetables and fry for some more time till the raw smell goes. Add 2 cups of water or enough water to cook rice and vegetables. Add fried rice and salt and mix well.Cover the lid and pressure cook for 10-12 minutes.
