Kilsa is a delectable sweet recipe which is very popular in North Kerala. It is a simple, quick and tasty sweet recipe to make at home. This smooth, creamy sweet is a special dish made with Maida. It can also be made with Wheat and Ragi.

  • Add required water to the maida, mix and keep it soaked till it absorbs the water.Drain water from the maida.
  • Take thin and thick coconut milk from the coconut. Add the thin coconut milk and a pinch of salt to the maida, cook it well.
  • Then add thick coconut milk to this and stir it well. When it starts to boil, switch off the flame. Transfer this mixture into a serving bowl or glass.
  • Heat ghee in a pan ,roast cashews and raisins.Drop it on the mixture along with ghee.Add sugar, of your choice.
  • Serve it hot or cold. Enjoy!
