Instructions
  1. First cut the vegetables into small pieces.
  2. Cook the dal and add the vegetables, turmeric powder, chilly powder and sarkkara. Cook again.
  3. Grind the 1/2 of the coconut and cumin seeds. Make a fine thick paste.
  4. Add this paste into the vegetables and allow it to boil. Cook till dry.
  5. Fry the another half of grated coconut till dark brown.
  6. Stir in fried coconut to the curry. kootu kari is ready.
