Kumbalanga Paal Curry Vegetable cooked in coconut milk 500 gm Kumbalanga1/2 shell Coconut (grated)2 nos Onion (chopped)4 nos Green chillies2 nos Tomato1/3 tsp Turmeric powder1/2 tsp Cumin powder (jeeraka podi)Salt (as per taste)seasoning:3 nos Dry red chillyCurry leaves (a few)1/2 tsp Mustard seeds1 tsp Coconut oil Grind the coconut well and take out the first milk out.Again grind for the second time adding some water and the take out the second milk and keep the first and second milk seperately.Cut the kumbalanga into small peices.Add the chopped onion,green chilli (slit half), salt and cook it in the second milk.Add turmeric powder and cumin powder to it, allow it to cook in medium flame.Once the kumbalanga is par boiled add the chopped tomatos.Once the kumbalanga is cooked add the first milk and do not allow it to boil and take it out of the flame.Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, allow it to splutter, add curry leaves and dry red chillies.Add the seasoning items to the kumbalanga paal curry. :-Serve hot!!! :-Enjoy the Kumbalanga Paal Curry with hot rice. This is an awesome recipe… My husband usually don t like Kumbalanga but this recipe made him a fan of Kumbalanga. we prepare it twice or thrice in a week.
