Lemon Rasam Authentic Lemon Rasam 5 tbsp Lemon juice1 no Tomato (chopped)1 tbsp Ginger (finely chopped)2 nos Green chillies (finely chopped)Coriander leaves (finely chopped)1/2 cup Red gram (cooked & mashed, Thuvaraparippu)1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1/2 tsp Asafoetiada (Kayam)Salt (As reqd)1/2 tsp Mustard seedsCurry leaves (A few)1 tbsp Ghee Add 2 1/2 cups of water to the cooked and mashed red gram.Add to it all the ingredients (except lemon juice) and keep it on fire.Bring to a boil.Heat ghee in a small pan.Add mustard seeds and when they crackle, add curry leaves.Add the above seasoning to the rasam.Allow the rasam to cool for about 10 min.Finally, add lemon juice and mix well.
