Instructions
  1. Wash and cut tomato and boil it in water. Add turmeric powder, salt, red chillies, green chillies and ginger.
  2. Cook toovar dal in cooker adding little turmeric powder.
  3. Add the boiled toovar dal to the 1 st step mixture.
  4. Add asafoetida, pepper powder and keep cooking till the foam comes.
  5. After cooking is over, add lemon juice, curry leaves and coriander leaves to the mixture.
  6. Fry mustard seeds and cumin seeds in ghee and add to the mixture.
  7. Lemon rasam is ready to serve.
