  • Raw Rice (Pachari) : 2 cup -
  • Lemon Juice : juice of one big lemon (Cheru Naranga) -
  • Chopped Ginger : 2 tsp. -
  • Green chilli : 2(cut into small pieces) - 3 nos
  • Curry leaves : 8 - 10 leaves
  • Turmeric powder : 2 tsp -
  • Thuvara parippu : 2 tsp -
  • Kappalandi (Peanuts) : 3 tsp -
  • Salt to taste -
  • Sesame / Refined Oil : as reqd -

Instructions
  1. Cook the rice (avoid pressure cooker to cook the rice) and remove the water from it and keep it separately to cool for about 10 -15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  3. Add thuvara parippu, uzhunnu parippu (if necessary), peanuts and stir the mix well.
  4. Add curry leaves also into this mix and stir it further for 2 - 3 minutes.
  5. Add turmeric powder and lemon juice into this mix.
  6. Then add the cooked rice.
  7. Stir the mix for about 2 - 3 minutes and put off the stove and change the lemon rice into a serving bowl / vessel.

  9. Lemon Rice is ready and it will be very delicious to eat with coconut chutney.
