1k g Mackeral Fish1 cup Onion paste2 tsp Ginger garlic paste1 cup Tamarind pulp1 tsp Garam masala powder250 ml Oil1 no Green chilly (split)1/2 cup Curry leaves1 cup Tomatoes (cubed)1 cup Coriander leaves (chopped)Salt (As reqd) For preparing mackeral stew clean and cut each mackeral into two halves.Apply ginger-garlic paste, garam masala and 2 spoons of oil to the fish pieces and marinate.Add oil to a deep bottomed frying pan and heat. Add onion paste and fry until brown. Add tomato pieces and the green chillies, mix well and allow to simmer on medium flame until the tomatoes are well done.Add the marinated fish pieces, red chilly powder curry leaves and salt, mix well and add tamarind pulp.Mix well, add some water and cook on medium flame until oil separates.Top the preparation with finely chopped coriander leaves.Mackeral stew is ready to serve.
